LISA HALTOM

Lisa Kathryn Haltom, 63, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on January 14, 2024. She was born on February 3, 1959, in Minden, Louisiana to John and Mary McClanhan. Lisa enjoyed knitting and crocheting, as well as painting T shirts and working crossword puzzles. When not working on indoor hobbies, she enjoyed the outdoors by fishing, hunting, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary McClanahan.

Left to cherish the memory of Lisa are her daughter, Carrol Newton of Magnolia, Arkansas; son, Anthony Haltom of Lewisville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Logan Newton of Magnolia, Arkansas; grandson, Nicholas Haltom of Lewisville, Arkansas; and brother, Michael McClanahan of Houston, Texas.

Cremation services under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

MINNIE MORGAN

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Dell Haynes Morgan, age 89, of Springhill, LA was held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA with Bro. Jeffrey Jennings officiating. Interment followed in Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation was Sunday, January 21, 2024, 5 - 7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Mrs. Morgan was born on September 21, 1934, to Samuel Cary and Ozela Hughes Haynes in Emerson, AR, and passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Shongaloo, LA. She enjoyed gardening and traveling around the United States on a regular basis. She enjoyed her professional life as well, working at Shurtleff's Sewing Center for several years prior to returning to her love of bookkeeping as an employee of Springhill Motor Co. for more than 30 years. She was an excellent seamstress, always making the clothes for her daughters including prom dresses and wedding dresses. She loved joining Jimmy and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the sidelines of a lifetime of sporting events, watching them participate in any sport they chose. Later she and Jimmy adopted many other youth to follow in their athletic endeavors.

She is survived by her three daughters, LaQueta Fields, Retha Burnett and husband Gerald, and Belinda Jennings and husband Jimmy; son, Mickey Morgan and wife Vera Zee; nine grandchildren, Christin Fields Hanson and husband Josh, Shawn Fields, Lauren Morgan, Erin Morgan O'Daniel and husband Shannon, Jennifer Brown Gregory and husband Sean, Douglas Brown, Jeffrey Jennings and wife Kristy, Jessica Jennings Vann and husband Matt, and Zack Crawley; seven great-grandchildren, Jack Gregory, Charlie Gregory, Laney Allison, Parker Jennings, Will Jennings, Andrew Jennings, and Haynes; and sister, Deva Nell Kilpatrick.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Morgan; father, Samuel Cary Haynes; mother, Ozela Haynes; and brother, Sammy Joe Haynes.

Pallbearers will be James Colvin, Bob Colvin, Lester Roan, Jeff Craig, Bruce Griffin, and Dr. Wayne McMahen.

The family would like to thank her personal and faithful attendant, Lou Lewis for the past three years of loving and dedicated service.
