CHARLES KYLE

Charles Randall Kyle, 87, of Taylor, Arkansas, entered God's kingdom on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by family in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born in Taylor on August 2, 1936, to Hudson and Maggie Kyle. Friends and family remember him racing cars on the streets around Taylor and outdressing his classmates, so much so he was given the childhood nickname of "Preacher."

In 1956, he met the love of his life, Olivia, through mutual friends. After a whirlwind romance, they eloped six months later, on June 26, 1956, at the ages of 16 and 19. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage and made many fond memories fishing, playing cards, and cheering on the San Antonio Spurs and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Randall worked with his hands his whole life and patiently tried to teach his family members to do the same, with varying degrees of success. His easygoing disposition made him a great driving instructor to grandkids ("Just keep it between the ditches.") and an easy person to feed ("What sounds good for lunch?" "It don't matter.").

He was preceded in death by his son Wayne and his parents Hudson and Maggie and is survived by his beloved wife Olivia (Hinton) Kyle, son Terry Kyle, daughter-in-law Paige Kyle, and grandchildren. Special thanks to Christy Nunn for providing wonderful care to Randall in his later years.

Randall will be remembered lovingly by his friends as a gentle and kind constant presence and a strong provider for his family.

His service will be held at Harmony Cemetery, Taylor, Arkansas at 10 a.m. on today, November 25, 2023, under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the youth fund of First Baptist Church of Taylor, Arkansas, or CHRISTUS Children's San Antonio.
