Family Day for No. 21 Muleriders

No. 21 SAU will host Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday for Family Day. The Muleriders (3-0, 3-0 GAC) moved four spots from last week in the AFCA Division II Top 25 poll and are one of 17 unbeaten teams in rankings. They are 3-0 for the first time in six years, after shutting out Arkansas Tech 38-0, beating No. 7 Harding 28-23 on the road and taking care of Southwestern Oklahoma State 32-16 last weekend. SAU holds Top 20 statistical marks nationally in multiple team and individual categories. Most notably, its ranks 10th in the country in scoring defense (11.7 ppg), while the offense ranks fifth in third-down conversions (59.6 percent). The Muleriders lead the country in defensive touchdowns (3) and ranks seventh in turnover margin (plus 2). Northwestern Oklahoma (1-2, 1-2 GAC) will enter Saturday’s game with a 30-24 home win over Henderson State last Saturday. The Rangers stunned SAU 38-16 last year.
