Cade Gurley of Vionlia came last weekend to visit his grandparents, Leon and Sue Stokes.
Janice King’s birthday was Saturday. Her granddaughter, Hannah Barnett of Bossier City came and spent several days with her. Other visitors for Janice were Deloris Snodgrass of California, Deloris’s grandson, Margaret Morris, Jean Polk, Glenn and Debbie Langley, Daniel Clark of Smackover, David Patricia, and Ethan Clark.
Ethan Clark assisted Mt. Vernon Fire Department on a grass fire Saturday on Hwy. 82 near the pass-over between Waldo and Buckner.
For Father’s Day David Patricia and Ethan Clark went after church to El Dorado. Michael cooked lunch for them and Lori’s parents Glen and Sue Thompson of Haynesville.
Michael and Lore are engaged. They will get married August 4.
