Mt. Vernon Fire Department helped Rudd’s Crossing Fire Department on Thursday with a tractor and hay bailer fire.
Friday, Mt. Vernon fought a car and woods fire on the Davis Chapel road in the Beech Creek community.
Saturday, Ethan Clark went with the Mt. Vernon Fire Department on a small woods hike in the lumber community.

Saturday evening, David Patricia and Ethan Clark went to New Home Baptist Church, the other side of Stephens, for a youth rally.
Hannah Barnett, of Bossier City, came Saturday to visit her grandmother, Janice King. Melissa Martin of Batesville came for several days to visit Janice King. She got to see her niece, Hannah, when she came.
Several newborn fauns have been seen this week.
