FLOYDELL FORD

Bro. Floydell Ford, 78, of Waldo passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Pam Specialty Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born January 27, 1940, in Sledge, Mich., to Cogen Ford and Genora Coleman. The family moved to Chicago, where he worked at Sears for 25 years. He moved to Waldo in 1976, where he was employed at Ethyl Chemical Plant until disabled.

Floydell and Gladys Watson were united in holy matrimony in 1985. He later joined the Westside Church of Christ in Waldo, where he was ordained as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Ford; children Diane Williamson, Janice Easter, Lawrence Lee, and Fred Maxwell; three grandchildren as his own; four sisters; and four brothers.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 17, at 3 p.m. at Westside Church of Christ in Waldo with burial to follow in Smith Cemetery in Waldo under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home of Magnolia. Officiating will be Bro. Jeffers Jefferson.

Visitation will be Friday, February 16, 12-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
