Bonnie J. Roberts, 88, of Magnolia, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at Wentworth Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia.
Bonnie was born on July 7, 1929, in Brown Springs to Joe and Nettie Phelps. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Brown Springs and worked as a Credit Manager at Shanhouse.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oden Alvin Roberts; bothers Floyd Phelps, Roy Phelps, Frank Phelps, and Paul Phelps; and sisters Mary Ferree, Betty McElyea, and Ruby Callison.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill McClinton and husband Charlie of Magnolia; son Terry Roberts and wife Gina of Cordova, Tenn.; grandsons Todd Jackson of Conway and Roger McClinton of Texarkana, Texas; granddaughters Lauren Roberts of Cordova, Tenn., Amanda Pruitt and husband Bob of Hurricane, W.Va., Caroline Green and husband Bassanio of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Amanda Downs and husband Ricky of Texarkana, Texas; great-granddaughters Brittany Hill and husband Jacob of Atlanta, Texas, Summer Downs, and Katelin Downs both of Texarkana, Texas; great-great-grandson Kyle Hill of Atlanta, Texas; great-great granddaughter Elizabeth Hill of Atlanta, Texas; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, at Jones Cemetery in Brown Springs with Bro. James Calhoun officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home Inc. of Magnolia.
