Beech Creek By Patricia Clark

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Bobby Hines. His funeral was Wednesday afternoon of last week. He had lived in the Bethel community about 40 years.

David, Patricia, Ethan, Michael, Nathan, Daniel, Tiffany and Holden Clark went to his visitation Tuesday night and his funeral on Wednesday. His children, Shelda and Gary, are Patricia’s niece and nephew.

Hannah Dyer of Bossier City, La., came to visit her grandmother, Janice King, recently. Janice went to Batesville and spent several days with her daughter, Melissa Martin. She came home Sunday afternoon.

Kurt Brown visited with Janice King and took her to Batesville on his way home to Jonesboro.

Tammy Gurley came and spent several days with her parents, Leon and Sue Stokes this week.

Ethan Clark’s birthday was Thursday. Nathan Clark’s birthday was Tuesday. Saturday afternoon the Clarks and some of Nathan’s friends met in McNeil to celebrate Nathan’s birthday. They played LaserTag and some did the bounce house. Later on all the Clarks went to Cancun to celebrate Ethan’s birthday.

Sunday, Hayden Wilks preached at Beech Creek Baptist Church. He is from Minden, La. Beech Creek’s pastor, Bro. Billy

Cauldwell, was out of town.

Several have had a stomach bug that’s going around.

Remember if wasps and bees are out, so are snakes. Be careful! Some snakes have already been seen.

Friday afternoon there was a fire in the Bethel community. It was a brush fire that got out of control. It was close to the Bethel Baptist Church and the Bethel Church of Christ. Ethan Clark assisted in fighting this fire.

Saturday morning David and Patricia Clark went to El Dorado to Michael and Nathan Clark’s home. They babysat Nathan and Holden Clark. Michael and Daniel went to an ordaination service. Tiffany was helping a friend. It is always great to see the grandsons.

Saturday afternoon Ethan Clark went with the youth from El Dorado Missionary Baptist Church to Bossier City, La. Michael, Nathan, Daniel, and Tiffany Clark went also. There were several performers. Several of the Robinsons from Duck Dunasty were there. They helped promote this.

Everyone is enjoying all the flowers blooming out. Several robins were seen this and a bumble bee.
