James E. Moss, 72, of Magnolia died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, in Magnolia. He was born Jan. 8, 1945, to Ceba Moss and Odessa Colvin Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, P.J. Moss.
Survivors include one daughter, LaShun Moss of The Colony, Texas; two sons, Ray Moss of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lawrence Moss of Little Rock; three sisters, Emma Brown, Mable Hooper, and Retine Moss; one brother, Olandis Moss; and a host of friends and loving church family.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Emerson with Rev. Donald Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Kings Hill Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of Marks Funeral Home, Inc., of Magnolia.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at Marks Funeral Home.
