MARILYN BRIGGS

Marilyn Ann Willis Briggs (MeMe), 59, of Lewisville, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. She was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Buckner.

She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church of Emerson. She was a 1975 graduate of Stamps High School, worked at Alan White Company, and retired from Tyson Foods of Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dollie V. Brown Wilson, and her father, Issac C. Willis.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Briggs of Waldo; two sons, Corey Briggs and Marquis Briggs; three daughters, Bridgette Robinson, Donna Willis, and Nicole Easter, all of Magnolia; two sisters, Patsy Hughey of Camden and Jackie Carter of Texarkana; two brothers, Jerry Willis of Portland, Oregon, and Gary Willis of Benton; her step-mother, Shirley Willis; 13 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Smith Chapel in Stamps with Rev. Chester Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Buckner Community Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Smith Funeral Home.
