Magnolia competes in tennis

SMACKOVER - The Magnolia junior varsity tennis team battle Smackover on Monday, while the varsity teams knocked off Camden Fairview last week.

Today, the Panthers and Lady Panthers will be back on the MHS courts when they host Hot Springs. Their final match of the season will be Thursday at El Dorado.

Against Smackover, Sam Albin and Brandon Bailey won in boys' singles, while Albin and Blake Prince took a doubles match. Cameron Denter and Bradion Atkins also won in doubles.

In girls singles, winners were Ashlee Shocklee, Roni Morris, Julie Phillips and Regan Nix.

Winning in doubles were Teresa Jaurez/Miriam Guzman; Mariah Genevara/Sophia Yarber; and Sarah Nyugen/Alethia Rich.

Against Camden Fairview, Kevin Zhoa won in singles 6-0, 6-0, while Connor Deloach and Keith Watson took a doubles match 6-0, 6-0.

In girl's singles, Abbie Jolly won 6-1, 6-0 and Taylor Bayles won 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles, Hannah Albin and DeAsia Dos lost 2-6, 1-6, while Hunter Nix and Kelby Caswell won 6-1, 6-3.
