The Columbia County Fair is now in high gear! We enjoyed several of the rides last night. The Dance Contest is scheduled for tonight under the pavilion. We are also excited about the greased pig contest, also on tap for tonight.
Public is invited to attend a Wet-Dry forum tonight at 6 p.m. in Foundation Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Both sides — Vote for Growth and the recently-formed Truth About Growth — will debate the topic, answer questions from a panel of SAU students and take questions from the public.
This is a healthy sign. The issue of whether to make Columbia County wet should be debated openly, publicly, and to the satisfaction of all on both sides. We hope to see a large turnout tonight. As it has been said, if you don’t get involved, you can’t complain about how the vote turns out.
