The Columbia County Broadband Committee needs your help spreading the news about high-speed internet improvements coming your way! The Arkansas State Broadband Office launched the Statewide Mapping Challenge Process and the new State Broadband Map on Wednesday, March 20.

Between now and April 18, the public can access the State Broadband Map link and enter their address to determine broadband service information for their location. If the resident has no broadband service or poor service, he or she can challenge the data shown on the map by clicking the Suggest a Correction to the State Broadband Map link. They can check existing internet speed using the Speed Test link.

Access the map at https://register.broadband.arkansas.gov/register/bead/map?_ga=2.233021852.368524393.1711082695-491376127.1706478979

It is vitally important to determine underserved locations in Columbia County to meet existing and future residential broadband needs as well as any new commercial and industrial growth. The DEADLINE for public participation is APRIL 18.

The Columbia County Broadband Committee is asking civic, government, and non-profit organizations to communicate this information as quickly as possible. In turn, we ask residents to send this information to family, friends, co-workers, churches, and civic organizations.
