Drake, Garland headed to NCAA Tournament
Drake withstood a second half rally by top-seeded Indiana State to capture its second straight Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title 84-80 on Sunday. The Bulldogs (28-6) advance to its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance with the championship win. The brackets will be released on Sunday. Tucker DeVries, the two-time MVC Player of the Year, scored 27 points and was named the Most Outstanding Player for the second consecutive year. Magnolia's Colby Garland, who has been a key player off the bench for Drake all season, finished with seven points after 18 minutes of action.
