CABOT - Southern Arkansas Lady Mulerider women's golf got back into action for the spring season as they traveled to the Cypress Creek Golf Club for the Natural State Classic in Cabot, hosted by Harding University.

Southern Arkansas finalized its time at the annual classic in eighth place among the eleven squads that competed. Head coach Neriah Brown's Lady Muleriders played 18 holes on a par of 72 and a distance of 5,915 yards for both rounds one and two in Cabot. SAU's eighth-place finish came as the team shot +66 (642; 317-325). The contest saw 67 competitors compete.

Leading the Lady Muleriders in their first bit of action to start the spring season was Taylor Rich as she placed tied for 34th among the field with a +13 (157; 76-81). Rich in round one shot a +4 with just 76 strokes that came by with a pair of birdies and ten holes on par. The senior notched nothing higher than a bogey on day one, in which she only recorded one on six out of the 18 holes. Rich in round two scored a +9 for total of 81 strokes. The Salado, Texas native recorded a single birdie, nine holes on par, six bogeys, and a couple double bogeys. Rich was the lone Mulerider at the Natural State Classic to have recorded a single-digit over par in both rounds one and two.

Sophomore Aubrey Marx, much like Rich, also accounted for a +4 in round one after having shot 76 strokes. Marx in her go-around tallied a pair of birdies, 12 holes on par, two bogeys, and a couple double bogeys in the inaugural round. Marx in round two saw a +12 performance as she shot an 84 with two birdies, eight holes on par, three bogeys, four doubles, and a triple. Marx's outing placed her tied for 41st among the field.

Taylor-Rose Hubbard made a debut as a Lady Mulerider after having recorded +18 for the contest with 162 total strokes (84-78). Hubbard's first round saw room for improvement, and said "improvement" came on day two as Hubbard shot just six over par in her first outing for Southern Arkansas. The transfer's second round managed to elevate her to a tie for 47th.

Emma Hester placed tied for 53rd as she shot +21(165; 83-82) and Kelsey Saveall tied for 58th with a +25(169; 82-87).
