SAU's Dillon voted to Division II watch list

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association revealed the nation's players for the 2024 Tucci/NFCA Division II Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist that consists of 120 student-athletes.

The list was broken down into the NCAA's eight regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West) with up to 15 student-athletes in each represented region.

The elected members of the NFCA Division II All-American Committee compiled the list together with one head coach to represent each region.

Previous winners included the following:

2023 – Zoe Willis, Georgia Southwestern State University / Tatum Goff, UT Tyler

2022 – Kayson Boatner, Anderson University / Andrea Morales, Rogers State University

2021 - Shanna McBroom, West Texas A&M University / Morgan Perry, Saint Anselm College

2019 - Julia Seader LIU Post / Allison Lipovsky, Grand Valley State University

2018 - Kylee Smith, University of North Georgia

2017 - Coley Ries, Minnesota State University Mankato

2016 - Lindsay Butler, Wayne State University

2015 - Courtney Poole, University of North Georgia

The award was not presented in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SAU sophomore Regan Dillon was nominated onto the watchlist as she among the top of the Great American Conference batters.

The Bryant, Arkansas native currently leads the league in total bases with 78 and is second in the conference for her ten home runs and 0.31 home runs per game.

Dillon is also second in the GAC for her ten doubles she has recorded (0.31/gm | 2nd GAC). The Muleriders designated player slugging percentage is among the league's leaders as well as she ranks second in the conference with her 0.729 slug. Finally, Dillon's third in the Great American Conference for the 30 runs she has batted in as well as her average of 0.94 runs batted in per game.
