Greetings everyone,

Spring is in the air!!! It's a time for defrosting from the winter to produce for the summer. It's a time for things to come out. Speaking of things coming out, this is a time that venomous snakes and other poisonous creatures come out of hibernation. Wasps and yellowjackets are very active also, so please be aware of your surroundings while preparing your yards, gardens, and fields.

While cutting your yard, wear a mask if you are allergic to the pollen that has fallen. If you are hiring yard workers, be aware of yard scammers. These are those who charge unreasonable prices and those who fail to complete the job they were hired to do. Please use someone that you know and are easily located. In general, there will be more activity in our county and in every community; report to us any suspicious activity, behaviors, or incidents that need to be handled. We just want you to be safe while having fun. We must use these practices now so we can be ready for summer. With that being said, let's enjoy the Spring Time; we look forward to hearing from you.

God Bless You

Sheriff Leroy Martin
