Harvest Regional Food Bank to provide TEFAP USDA Commodity Pantry Boxes to Columbia Co Residents

Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute the food boxes directly from their truck on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9am to 11am or until all boxes have been distributed. The truck will be parked at the 102 E. Main St., Waldo, AR (Fire Department).

New Procedures – Recipients must come inside the fire station building to check in. Once checked in, recipients will go back to their vehicle and proceed to line up along East Main St. & N Walnut St. than E Roselawn St. towards N Hickory St.

Recipients will not be allowed to exit the vehicle or park to pick up food. Recipients must bring photo identification or proof of address to verify they are a resident of Columbia County. Distribution is limited to one box per household and 2 households per vehicle.

Last year, Harvest distributed 3.2M meals and served over 60,000 individuals in Southwest Arkansas and Northeast Texas. Both states consistently rank in the top 10 for the highest incidents of hunger. Nearly 20% of our local residents miss meals due to food insecurity, including 1 in 4 children. Harvest works to eliminate hunger through its Food Banking, Food Rescue, School Backpack and Mobile Pantry programs.
