United Community Organization to host this year's Juneteenth Celebration

This year's festival will kick-off with the Miss Juneteenth Pageant on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 5:00pm. Ages are 0-18; and applications can be submitted online at www.columbiacountyuco.com or picked up at Blackmon's Barber and Beauty Salon. On Monday, June 12th, our Juneteenth's Got Treasure Hunt Event will begin. Clues will be posted on our facebook page and through local media. On Friday, June 16th, we will have our annual Gospel Explosion at the Magnolia Performing Arts Center at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm. On Saturday, June 17th, our Juneteenth Parade will begin at 10:00am. This year's route will be from Main Street to the Pine Street intersection. Entry is free and can be submitted online. The conclusion of the Festival Celebration will be at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.Gates will open at 11:00am. Our popular Rib Cook-Off competition will be underway, vendors on site, Top Sarge's Kiddie Land, informational forum, and other exciting family friendly activities. Juneteenth T-shirts are on sale now at the following locations: Morgans Beauty Supply, Blackmon's Barber and Beauty Salon, Farmers Bank and Trust (Main Branch), and Cadence Bank.
