Magnolia hosts Christmas parade

The Magnolia-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Christmas parade on Monday.

The parade was originally scheduled for Nov. 30 to coincide with the Southern Arkansas University Celebration of Lights but according to Chamber Executive Director Rachel Jenkins was postponed due to poor weather.

Calvary Baptist Church received the Knock Your Socks Off Award and $500.

Pentecostals of Magnolia was the recipient of the Christ in Christmas Award and $200.

The Sugar Plum Award and $250 were given to Magnolia Middle School.

Awards were sponsored by Greg Rich & Associates, Farmers Bank and At Your Service.
