Wages’ big bass weighs in at 7.41 pounds

Ryan Wages was the overall winner at the annual Tom Dehoney Memorial Big Bass Tournament that's held at Lake Columbia during the Magnolia Blossom Festival/World Championship Steak Cook-off weekend.

The event was sponsored by OtterBox, Brad's Custom Rods, Culprit Lures, Yo-zuri and Favorite Rods.

Wages' big bass hit the scale at 7.41 pounds. He received a $1,000 cash prize, plus OutterBox Backpack Cooler and a Brad's Custom Rod.

There were eight youth anglers who received Culprit and Yo-Zuri lure packs, while the winner took home a Brad's custom rod.

Following are the hourly winners, size of fish and awards:

• 8 a.m. – Phillip Jackson, 3.63 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• 9 a.m. – Ryan Wages, 7.41 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• 10 a.m. – Ryan Wellington, 5.97 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• 11 a.m. – Ryan Wellington, 4.69 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• Noon – Collin Hampton, 4.55 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• 1 p.m. – Joshua Hogan, 5.24 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• 2 p.m. – John Flemings, 4.24 pounds, $100 Plus Otterbox Tumbler.

• Overall Winner – Ryan Wages, 7.41 pounds, $1000 Plus OtterBox Backpack Cooler & a Brad's Custom Rod.

• Youth Division Winner, Collin Hampton, 4.55 pounds, $100 Plus a Brad's Custom Rod.
