The Juneteenth Festival by the United Community Organization in Magnolia was last week.

There were many events including gospel, the soul stroll, dancing, a rib cook-off and more.

Despite temperatures in the upper 90's on Saturday many could still be found at Southside Park in Magnolia celebrating the holiday.

Booths ranged from selling food to jewelry and a children's playland was set up by Jodi Mallory which included bounce houses, skeeball, baggo and more.
