SAU to continue waiver on ACT, SAT scores through fall 2022 entrance

Southern Arkansas University will continue to waive the ACT and SAT composite score requirements for freshman admissions through the fall 2022 entrance.

“While testing sites are reopening gradually, we want students to be able to make early decisions without feeling anxious about future testing opportunities having limited capacity,” said Sarah Jennings, Asst. Vice President for Enrollment Services.

The waiver will be approved provided the student meets other admission requirements and has a minimum cumulative 2.30 GPA on their 7th or 8th-semester high school transcript.

Freshmen are required to have placement scores. SAU will use other assessment instruments or scores for course placement as needed during registration.
