Whitehead tapped by Governor as new Justice of the Peace

Jenny Marie Whitehead took the Oath of Office for Justice of the Peace District 11 on March 24th, filling a vacancy after Jason Ray’s resignation during the February Quorum Court meeting. During the February meeting, Ray told the Banner-News that he and his family were moving to another home in Columbia County and that it would be outside of District 11, making him ineligible to remain in his position.

Vacant Justice of the Peace positions are filled by appointees selected by the Governor of the State of Arkansas.
