BancorpSouth Bank (NYSE: BXS) has named Jeff Venable as president - Magnolia community bank. Venable will manage the operations of the Magnolia and Taylor branches and lead the company’s local community development activities.
Venable joined BancorpSouth in 2017 with nearly 15 years of experience in the banking industry. He has held positions as an audit senior, mortgage loan originator and commercial loan officer.
“I know Jeff will help us continue to build a strong team and establish and strengthen our customer relationships,” said David Skinner, BancorpSouth president - South Arkansas division. “We’re glad to have him leading our efforts in Magnolia.”
He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Harding University in Searcy.
Active in his community, Venable serves as the board president of Abilities Unlimited, Inc. in Hot Springs, Arkansas, board president of the Magnolia Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, board member of Columbia County Community Foundation, board member of the United Way of Columbia County, advisor for Youth in Action in Columbia County and a rotarian for the Rotary Club of Magnolia.
