A house fire broke out in Waldo on Jan. 12, with the Waldo and Mount Vernon Fire Departments working in unison to put out the blaze.
An officer from the Waldo Police Department said that the man living in the home, Washington Beasley, had stated that he left his space heater on when he left the home. The house was on fire when Beasley returned.
According to the officer, no one was injured due to the fire.
