Janice Gae (Thompson) Middlebrooks 74 of Stephens, Arkansas formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her home in Stephens.
She was born on October 29, 1946 in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Byron Ford Thompson and Gladys Rhea (Oglesby) Thompson. She retired as the secretary for the Arkansas State Lion’s Club in 2006 and was a member of the Stephens Church of Christ.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Byron Ford Thompson. She is survived by her husband Steve Middlebrooks of Stephens, Arkansas and a son Scott Edward Harper of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., today February 2, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery in Troy, Arkansas with Mark Mosher and Jerry Butler officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Edmondson, Robbie Arrington, Byron Delamar, Corey Edmondson, Jerry Butler, and Kevin Arrington.

Claudette Carmen Marlar, 83 of Waldo, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.
She was born on September 24, 1937 in Magnolia to the late Floyd Edgar Dickson and Ruby (Fields) Dickson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Waldo, Arkansas, worked for Shanhouse and Columbia Sewing as a seamstress, and loved making quilts.
Claudette is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allen Thomas Marlar; a daughter Barbara Jean Marlar; two grandchildren, Carley Crisp and Johnathon Dempsey; and a brother Vernon Dickson. She is survived by her two children, Carmen Maness of West Monroe, Louisiana, James Marlar and his wife Tina of Waldo; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Lydesdale Cemetery with Bro. David Watkins officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
