Halloween events planned throughout city on Friday, Saturday

The Magnolia-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce released a Halloween guide that details some of the upcoming events on Halloween.

In addition to the Chamber’s Trunk or Treat on the Square, which will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Halloween, which is this Saturday, Cricket Wireless is hosting a Trunk or Treat at 909 E. Main St. from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday; Asbury United Methodist Church will host a “Drive Through Trick or Treat” on church grounds on Halloween from 5 to 7 p.m.; and the Rugged Cross Cowboy Church will host a Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 6 to 8 p.m.

The First United Methodist Church will host a “Drive Through Trick or Treat” on Halloween starting at 5 p.m. and Trinity Baptist Church will host a Trick or Treat on Halloween from 5 to 7 p.m. The Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia will host a Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Chamber also released a list of Trick or Treat Safe Stops for Oct. 30. On the list are Farmers Bank & Trust, Andy’s Restaurant, Bilo’s Liquor & Fine Wine, Wades Burgers & Fries (both locations), Bridgette’s On The Square, Magnolia Blossom Florist, All Care Pharmacy, Dr. Chambliss & Dr. Davis, Kyle’s Central Hub and Peoples Bank (all locations).

Kyle’s Central Hub will host its first annual Halloween costume contest on Saturday night from 9 p.m. to closing for people 21 and up with a $5 cover charge. Mule Kick will host a Great Gatsby Halloween Party on Saturday night, featuring the band Not3d and Ken Lambert, with guests in costume to receive a special appetizer. From Oct. 30 - 31, Rocket Fast Car Wash will host a Haunted Car Wash, with the Saturday proceeds to benefit the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) organization. On Oct. 31, the first 25 customers at The Perfects will receive a free Halloween treat bag.
