VIRGIE HUDGENS

Virgie Garrett Hudgens, 94, of Magnolia, AR passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her home.

Virgie was born May 23, 1926 in the Lamartine community, north of Waldo, AR. She was retired from serving as the Columbia County Deputy Treasurer and the Columbia County Deputy Tax Collector. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Magnolia and one of her biggest joys was cooking for her children and grandchildren.

Virgie is preceded in death by her parents Wiley and Evelyn Garrett; husband Isaac Eddie Hudgens; infant grandson Hudgens; sister Susie Garrett; daughter in law Carol McKinnon Hudgens; and son in law Robert Gorum.

Virgie is survived by her son Isaac David Hudgens of Little Rock; daughters Marion Gorum of Magnolia, Paula Mosier (Jeff) of Magnolia, and Patricia Hudgens of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Zack Hudgens (Heather) of Maumelle, Ashley Wise (Michael) of Little Rock, Sara Coleman of Benton, and Patrick Mosier of Magnolia; great grandchildren Aidan Hudgens and Caitlin Hudgens of Maumelle, and Koen Wise of Little Rock; a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on today, October 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Roger Dunlap officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation was Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Zack Hudgens, Aidan Hudgens, Patrick Mosier, Michael Wise, Koen Wise, and Jeff Mosier.

A special thanks to Encompass Hospice, and a very special thanks to Jackie Monk for her excellent care of our mother.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church-Magnolia, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, or Wounded Warrior Project.

John Arthur Revels, 60 old, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home.

Graveside Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, October 23, 2020, at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas at 11 a.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, from 1 – 4 p.m.
