EDWARD BAILEY

LTC (Ret) Edward E. Bailey, Jr., 81, of Magnolia, AR, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020. Edward was born April 6, 1939 in Richmond, VA. He served in the United States Army for 22 years and retired in 1985 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also taught Technical Drawing and Welding at Magnolia High School for 20 years. After retirement, he worked part-time as the Facilities Manager for Farmers Bank and Trust in Magnolia, AR.

Edward served on several committees and was very active in the community, he was also a member of Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and loved to hunt, fish and play golf with friends. As a founding member of the Warnock Springs Deer Camp, he especially enjoyed his time spent there with friends. Edward enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren where they created lasting memories together. He also adored his two dogs, Bogart and Bentley.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Elmore Bailey, Sr., and Ruth Elizabeth (Jones) Bailey and sister, Jean Farmer. Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda C. Bailey of Magnolia, daughters Kelly Manning (Robert) of Lakewood, CA, Kristin Humphreys of Hot Springs, AR, son Thomas E. Bailey (Veda) of Phenix City, AL, and sister Kathleen Beaber of Virginia. Granddaughters Meagan, Jennifer, Kaitlyn and Kinsley and grandsons Dakota, Matthew, Alex, Ryan, and Eric. Great grandsons Adam, Blake, Walker, Karter, Christian, Kyle, and Kaden.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be today, November 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Boyd, Ken Estes, Joe Fannin, Jim Garrett, Johnny Jordan, Bobby Moore, Jay Rotton, and Bill Weldon.

WILLIAM MORSE

William Troy Morse passed on October 20, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born April 6, 1948 in Springhill, Louisiana. He served as a Sergeant during Vietnam, at the age of 20, earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart from the United States Army. Cremation services have been rendered, and a Memorial Service will be held in the Spring at Christie Chapel Methodist Church.

EARLY DUNN

Early D. Dunn, 65 of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on August 4, 1955, in Waldo, Arkansas.

Graveside Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas at 2 p.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Reverend Donald Howell officiating/eulogist.

Visitation will be Friday, November 6, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.
