Joe Ronnie Tipton, 78, of Star City, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Joe was born in Arkansas County on November 27, 1941 to the late Aubray Tipton and Elsie Mae Bronson Tipton.
Mr. Tipton worked as a row crop farmer and carpenter most of his life. Joe loved hunting, fishing and spoiling his grandchildren. He was also a member and a deacon at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Also preceding him in death is one son, Scott Tipton and a brother, Melvin Tipton.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaretta Tipton of Star City, one son, Steve Tipton (Tanesha) of Fouke, daughter, Lynn Luscomb (Earl) of Star City, four brothers, James Tipton (betty) of Stuttgart, Jimmy Tipton (Vivian) of Star City, Shelby Tipton (Melody) of Jacksonville, one sister, Joyce Smith (Buddy) of Star City, and seven grandchildren, Madison, Jace, Tray, Makyla, Jaqual, Jakya, and Cameron.
Graveside services are 2:30pm Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at New Home Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Pemberton will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Randy Blasengame, Tobby Simmons, Mack Owen, Brad Tipton, Jason Smith, and Robby Tipton.
