Baird hits 15-year mark with Peoples Bank

Jonathan Baird, Chief Financial Officer/Lending Officer, is celebrating 15 years with Peoples Bank.

Baird joined the Peoples Bank team in June of 2005.

In addition to his current position as Chief Financial Officer, Baird also serves on the Peoples Bank and Golden Oaks Bancshares, Inc. Board of Directors.

“Jonathan is a valuable part of our management team. He is a creative thinker with both a sharp mind and a heart for people. He solves problems and always comes through in a clutch situation. We are so glad he is a member of our PB family!” said Mary Fowler, CEO.

Baird is a Waldo native and graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing. He received SAU’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award in 2016, Arkansas Business CFO of the Year in 2013 and 40 Under 40 in 2016. He earned his Master’s degree in Divinity from Southern Seminary. He supports his community by serving on the Magnolia Regional Medical Center Board and participating in the Magnolia Blossom Festival.

Baird and his wife Emily are parents to five children, Addie, Piper, Haddon, Josiah and Judah. The family attends Wyatt Baptist Church where Jonathan serves as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and on the Stewardship Committee. His hobbies include fishing, poker and discussing politics.

Peoples Bank is a locally owned community bank established in 1910. Headquartered in Magnolia, Arkansas, Peoples Bank operates two banking offices in Magnolia and one in Waldo.
