Ansley Stultz wins County Spelling Bee for 2nd straight year

Five students from Emerson, Magnolia, and Taylor competed Jan. 19 for the honor to represent Columbia County in the Arkansas State Spelling Bee. The event was hosted by Central Elementary School in Magnolia.

Students competing included Anistyn Nolte of Taylor, Carlee Roberson of Emerson, Eydie Stover of Magnolia, Ansley Stultz of Magnolia, and Aiden Watson of Emerson.

Central Elementary School fifth-grader, Ansley Stultz, earned the top spot in the contest and was named the Columbia County Spelling Bee champion. The win marks the second consecutive year Stultz has taken the championship at the county spelling bee. First runner-up honors went to Anistyn Nolte of Taylor.

The Arkansas State Spelling Bee will be held Feb. 1 at Cabot High School.
