The Rankin College of Business has announced a new collaboration with the Barron’s in Education Program from Dow Jones. Dr. Robin Sronce, dean of the College, said a license providing 24/7 access to Barron’s content will enhance the business curriculum for faculty and students.

The subscription to Barron’s was made possible by a gift from The Don McDonald Group at Merrill.

“Barron’s will provide additional insights into financial topics,” said Sronce. “The opportunity for our finance students to tour the Dow Jones Headquarters during our spring trip to New York is another exciting benefit of Barron’s in Education.”

She expressed her thanks to Don McDonald and The Don McDonald Group for investing in the Rankin College. McDonald is a financial advisor based in Fort Smith.

“It’s my privilege to help SAU students take the next step in preparing for a career,” said McDonald, a 1989 alumnus of SAU.

The subscription to Barron’s will allow faculty to integrate current information with curriculum taught in classes.

“Having access to this information through Barron’s is a win for both the students and faculty. We felt this would be a great opportunity for SAU,” he said.
