A wreck on Highway 82 between a silver Chevy Silverado and a dark grey Toyota Tacoma shut down one lane of the highway Friday afternoon. Columbia County deputies directed traffic as the Arkansas State Police investigated the scene.

According to state police at the scene, the Toyota Tacoma was traveling East toward Magnolia when it entered the oncoming lane and was struck by the Chevy Silverado. The airbags deployed in both vehicles during the crash.

Tire tracks were left on the wet dirt where road construction is taking place and continued onto the road and into the oncoming lane.

The Toyota Tacoma was carrying veterinarian supplies, which littered the center of the highway. Wrecker services from Magnolia swept up the debris, picking up scalpels and needles in an effort to clear the highway as the State Police continued their investigation of the crash.
