Magnolia police warn of tex-messaging scam

The Magnolia Police Department has become aware of a text message scam targeting members of the local community. The scammer will pose as a member of church or civic leadership and may request personal information, money, or gift cards. If you receive one of these texts, please do not respond but contact the Magnolia Police Department at 870-234-5655.

Cody Spoelstra, 28, of Magnolia was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on July 24

Shardae Calton, 25, of Magnolia was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on July 25.

Jaleen Jackson, 23, of Emerson was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threatening, Criminal Impersonation, and Driving on Suspended Driver’s License on July 25.

Rodrekus Williams, 27, of Magnolia was arrested for Failure to Remain at Scene of Accident on July 26.

Marcus Turner, 20, of Magnolia was arrested for Breaking or Entering on July 26.

Tasha Kelly, 43, of Magnolia was arrested for Failure to Appear on July 26.

Wilbur Broomfield, 62, of Magnolia was arrested for Failure to Appear on July 27.

Kenneth Zachary, 60, of Magnolia was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Improper Lights on July 27.

Marcus Davis, 43, of Magnolia was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Refusal to Arrest, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree on July 28.

Demetrius Robinson, 26, of Magnolia was arrested for Failure to Appear on July 28.

Patrick Davis, 38, of Magnolia was arrested for Terroristic Threatening and Failure to Appear on July 29.
