The 4th annual Columbia District Women’s Ministry Youth Fun Day at Southside Park set for 3 to 6 p.m. There will be free food, games, basketball competitions and much more. All district churches encouraged to contribute $50 to make this event a success for local youth. Funds will help pay for food, prizes, trophies and bounce house. The Columbia/Lafayette County Unit of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18,2 019 in FBC Bus Barn. Columbia County Jr. Livestock Premium Sale, meal at 5:30 p.m., sale starts at 6:30 p.m. The auction is an established reward system honoring young people for the efforts they made to grow and show quality livestock. A list of exhibitors, in sale order, will be available at the auction. Exhibitors are members of Columbia County 4H Club, Magnolia FFA, Emerson FFA, or Taylor FFA.

Each exhibitor is will bring their animal to the sale ring for exhibition while bids are taken. The animals will then be returned to their places in the barn. At that time, buyers may either proceed to the check-out desk to pay their bill or may request to receive a net 30 invoice. FRIDAY - Sept. 27

Color Out Cancer Fun Walk/Run, all proceeds go to Relay For Life. Wear white to pass through powerful pops of color and get tie-dyed for a good cause. Event takes place at SAU Welcome Center. Race sign-up 6 p.m., survivor lap at 6:15 p.m., race start time at 6:30 p.m. Register by Sept. 13 — $20; Register after Sept. 13 — $25 (entry fee includes meal ticket). Luminarias may be purchased for $5 per name. Luminaria service will be held prior to the end of the event. Bring your chair and enjoy some great entertainment and sweet treats from the bake sale while helping cheer on the runners/walkers. Space includes face painting and area for kids.
