Richard “Ricky” Keath Scaife, 62, of Taylor passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his residence.

Ricky was born March 29, 1957, in Marvell.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jones College with a Bachelor of Science and Computer Information Systems. He was employed as an IT Analyst with Hydro Extrusions formerly SAPA for 30 years, an avid fisherman and member of the Columbia County Bass Masters, and hunter. He loved spending his time in the word of God by reading his daily devotionals and the Bible.

He is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Ann (Watkins) Scaife; son Michael Kirkpatrick; brothers Willie Scaife and Jerry Scaife; paternal grandparents, Gene Scaife and Mabel Ritter; maternal grandparents William “Bill” and Helen Watkins.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 32 years Darline Scaife of Taylor; daughter Emily Wilson and husband Russell of McNeil; grandson Riley Wilson of McNeil; father Billy Gene Scaife and wife Bobbie of Rio Hondo, Texas; sisters Barbie Washburn and husband Donald Ray of Marvell and Jennifer Palmer and husband Brian of Magnolia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11 at the Taylor Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Rufus Stuart and Bro. Jerry Evans officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, from 6to 8p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.

Pallbearers will be Wayne McKamie, John Pass, Steven Goldsby, Christian Goldsby, Jerry Rawls, and Michael Teague.

The family wishes to say a special thank you to Encompass Hospice for their compassion and support they gave to Ricky and to his family and friends for the love, time and help given to Ricky.
