Magnolia man dies in Harley-Davidson accident

A Magnolia man was killed this week in a single-vehicle accident along State Hwy. 7 in Ouachita County.

William Charles Bridges, 44, at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, was traveling southbound on his 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he “failed to maintain control while negotiating a curve to the left,” according to an Arkansas State Police fatal accident summary. The bike then skidded into and struck the southbound ditch on Hwy. 7 North. The driver of the Harley-Davidson, the report said, was “separated from” the motorcycle in the ditch area.

The road conditions were normal and weather was clear, according to the report.

Bridges was taken to UAMS in Little Rock, but did not survive.

Arkansas State Trooper Garrett D. Brock was the investigating officer on the scene.
