Meghan Lindsey, a Magnolia High School junior, won her second consecutive Class 4A state golf championship Tuesday in Harrison.

Lindsey and Ellen Spigner of Nashville ended regulation play tied at 77, and Lindsey birdied the hole she had triple bogeyed earlier to win the title.

On the first hole of regulation play, she couldn’t find her tee shot in the grass and recorded the triple bogey. She followed the start with three birdies and nine pars.

She finished third in the overall state meet last fall.

Lindsey is the daughter of Ray and Traci Lindsey of Magnolia.
