The Magnolia freshmen Cubs kept their season record perfect with a close 31-26 win at Hot Springs Lakeside Thursday night. The 8th graders fell 36-26 to the Rams.

The teams will play their final home games next Thursday at Panther Stadium against Camden Fairview. Magnolia’s 9th graders are averaging 43.6 points per game. Victories include El Dorado (47-29), Nashville (42-12), Hope (52-14), Texarkana (42-22) and Hot Springs Lakeside (31-26).

After next Thursday, the Cubs will travel to Hot Springs on Oct. 17 and close the season Oct. 31 at De Queen.
