Peanut butter and crackers food drive kicks off

For the seventh year, State Farm in Magnolia will be conducting its annual Peanut Butter and Crackers food drive. The goal this year 300 drop-offs.

“Never forget, one out of five children go to bed hungry every night here in America,” said a Thursday announcement. “Peanut butter and crackers are nutritious and easy for children to fix.”

The deadline for Thanksgiving is Nov. 19.

The deadline for Christmas is Dec. 17.

“The need is great, and you always come through,” the announcement said.

The project is great for Sunday school classes, clubs, and friends to take part in.

“You can make a difference in a child’s life with just one jar of peanut butter, and one box of crackers,” said the announcement.

Peanut butter and crackers may be dropped off now at Charles Trexler’s Office located at 1909 N. Jackson Street.
