SATURDAY - June 1

Kids’ annual fishing derby starts at 7:30 a.m. at the visitor center at Logoly State Park. Kids ages 5-15 will be able to fish at Logoly’s pond until 11 a.m., when the casting contest begins. Awards will be given for biggest fish, smallest fish, most fish, and casting contest winners of the three different age groups. Parents are encouraged to help, but the kids must do the fishing. This event is free, so all that you need is your favorite lawn chair and fishing gear to participate. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call the park or stop by to sign your child up.

MONDAY - June 3

Walker Water Association will hold its annual meeting at 6 p.m. at the Walker Water Office, 20 Columbia Road 425 in Magnolia, AR. All meetings are open to the public.

Families and Children Together, Inc. (FACT, Inc.) has scheduled a meeting of the Policy Council at 4:15 p.m. The meeting will be held at the FACT, Inc. central office at 2720 Vine Street in El Dorado and is open to the public.

WEDNESDAY - June 5

Adventure Night at Unity Church Magnolia for kids ages 6 – 12 years old from 6:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. Activities include sports, arts/crafts, and adventures. The cost is $20.00 which includes a t-shirt and safari backpack. Call 870-234-3225 to register.

THURSDAY - June 6

Families and Children Together, Inc. (FACT, Inc.) has scheduled a meeting of the Board of Directors at 2:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the FACT, Inc. central office at 2720 Vine Street in El Dorado and is open to the public.

United Community Organization’s “Southern Soul on the Move” Pre-Juneteenth Festival Blues Concert featuring Benito, Mo’B, and Ghetto Cowboy at the Main Event Pavilion in Magnolia, AR. Tickets are on sale now at Blackmon’s Barber and Beauty Salon and CADC. Early Bird Special for the first 100 tickets are $15. $20 advance tickets and $25 tickets at the door.
