To complement Saturday’s championship steak cooking team Delta Waterfowl of Magnolia, numerous other local teams took home prizes in non-cooking categories as part of 2019’s Blossom Festival.
The parade title went to the People’s Bank team of Home Town Grillers. They were awarded a trophy, a $500 check, and a cooler for the win.
In a brief victory speech Saturday night, bank president Jamie Waller gave all the praise to his parade companions.
“I want to give a shout out to Kathy’s Dance Arts Studio for their amazing abilities and talents,” he said. “We would not have won this without them.”

Appetizer Challenge
All entries must have contained Conecuh brand sausage. The winning team turned in “oinksters,” or oysters sprinkled with sausage. The separation between first and second place was one-tenth of a point, according to Nelson.
