$150,000 Powerball ticket sold in Hope

4-number plus Powerball winner was one of two in state on Saturday

Although no one took home the $625 million Powerball jackpot over the weekend, there are two players in Arkansas who each won $150,000 by having four white ball numbers, plus the Powerball number. They each also paid an additional dollar for the Power Play, which multiplied their $50,000 prize by three.

One of the Arkansas winners purchased a ticket at the E-Z Mart at 2403 N. Hervey in Hope. The second ticket was bought at the Helena Crossing Conoco at 3053 Highway 49 in West Helena.

Since there was no winner in Saturday’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot has increased to $750 million – the third largest Powerball jackpot in history. The cash option is an estimated $465.5 million. Powerball has had 25 drawings in a row without a jackpot winner so this will be the first jackpot won in 2019.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 24, 25, 52, 60, 66 with the Powerball being 5.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players can multiply non-jackpot prizes with the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play. Tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. CST.

From now through May 31, all winning and non-winning Powerball tickets are eligible to enter in the lottery’s newest Second Chance promotion – March into May Spring Cash Giveaway. Players can enter Powerball and newly issued non-winning scratch-off tickets from March, April and May. More than $170,000 in cash will be given away in three drawings scheduled for April 4, May 2 and June 4.
