WEDNESDAY - Mar. 20

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Board of Directors will meet at 10:30 a.m., at SWAPDD Inc., 101 Harvey Couch Boulevard, Magnolia, AR. The Executive Committee will meet at 9 a.m.

The Columbia/Lafayette County Unit of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association will meet at 1 p.m. in Bible Museum located at 306 Walnut Street in McNeil, AR. The greeter will be Dr. Dale Robbins and the hostesses will be Judy Cassidy and Shirley Black. Dr. Jimmy Young will speak and give a tour of the Bible Museum. MONDAY - Mar. 25

Families and Children Together, Inc. (FACT, Inc.) has scheduled a meeting of the Policy Council for March 25, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. and a meeting of the Board of Directors for March 28, 2019 at 2:45 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the FACT, Inc. central office at 2720 Vine Street in El Dorado and both are open to the public.

TUESDAY - Mar. 26

SATURDAY - Mar. 30

Dr. Steven Alexander of the Magnolia Veterinary Services will be conducting a countywide rabies clinic in Columbia County, for cats and dogs. The cost of the rabies vaccination is $10.00/dog or cat and $1.00 of every vaccination in will benefit the Columbia County 4-H. Dr. Alexander will also have Dap2+cpv; Bordetella vaccinations for dogs available for $15.00 each and de-wormer available for $15 each dog/cat. The work schedule for the clinic is as follows: Keith’s Grocery, 8:00-8:30 a.m.; Emerson High School (Ag Building), 8:45-9:15 a.m.; Village One Stop, 9:45-10:00 a.m.; McNeil Post Office, 10:30-11:00 a.m.; Waldo Post Office, 11:15 a.m.-11:45 p.m. For further information on the vaccinations you may call Magnolia Veterinary Services at (870) 234-7310. The Rotary pancake breakfast is selling tickets for $8. The proceeds help buy dictionaries for all third grade students in Columbia County. The breakfast is at First United Methodist Church in Peace Hall. Tickets can be purchased from any Rotarian.

FRIDAY - Apr. 12

Magnolia FFA is hosting an auction at 6 p.m. at the Magnolia Jr. High cafeteria, 540 E North St, Magnolia, AR. No ticket is needed for entry to the auction, however a hamburger meal will be served for $5 before the auction at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Magnolia FFA directly.
