LifeShare Blood Center is hosting a community blood drive from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Magnolia High School, 1400 High School Drive, Magnolia, AR.

FRIDAY - Mar. 15

The American Legion of Arkansas, Post 3, is celebrating its 100th anniversary at 11 a.m. on the square in Magnolia near the veterans monument. All veterans, their families, and the public are invited to attend. Lunch will follow at the American Legion, 325 Legion Drive in Magnolia.

SATURDAY - Mar. 16

Join Logoly State Park park staff on an excursion into the world of amphibians to learn more about this cryptic group from 6 - 8 p.m. In this workshop, visitors will become familiar with the species of south Arkansas by sight and by sound. Visitors are encouraged to bring flashlights and to wear boots and old clothing, as this is a hands-on workshop that will feature a trek into one of the parks seasonal pools. A fee of $20 covers the price of a helpful guide to amphibians. Space is limited and pre-registration is required, so call the park at (870) 695-3561 or stop by to sign up.

WEDNESDAY - Mar. 20

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Board of Directors will meet at 10:30 a.m., at SWAPDD Inc., 101 Harvey Couch Boulevard, Magnolia, AR. The Executive Committee will meet at 9 a.m.

The Columbia/Lafayette County Unit of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association will meet at 1 p.m. in Bible Museum located at 306 Walnut Street in McNeil, AR. The greeter will be Dr. Dale Robbins and the hostesses will be Judy Cassidy and Shirley Black. Dr. Jimmy Young will speak and give a tour of the Bible Museum.
