Friday evening David and Patricia Clark pick up his cousin Connie and her husband Tom Arnold at the Quality Inn in Magnolia. They went to Two Brothers to eat supper together. Connie and Tom were on their way to Omaha, Nebraska to move there. They moved from Plufftown, North Carolina where they had lived for 22 years. Tom is retired from the banking business. They had lived in Omaha while they raised their children. Their daughter still lives there. They will live in a retirement apartment complex and will be near their daughter and her family.
Saturday everyone met at Janice King’s home to get together. For lunch David, Patricia, and Ethan Clark had soup and chili with Connie and Tom Arnold, Janice King, and Dennis and Debbie Martin. Lisa Martin and her son Chase came by that morning to visit.
For supper several cooked a big meal. All the ones that were there for lunch were there for supper including Michael, Dori, Nathan, and Hana from El Dorado. Daniel had been sick and he and his family couldn’t come.
Sunday morning Connie and Tom went to El Dorado to go to church with Daniel, Tiffany, Holden, Michael, Dori, Nathan, and Hana. They wanted to hear Daniel preach. It was the first time they had a chance. They all went to the Buffet Palace to eat lunch together.
Sunday evening David, Patricia, and Ethan Clark and Dennis and Debbie Martin met Connie and Tom back at Janice King’s home for supper. There were enough leftovers from the night before. Everyone had a good visit and told numerous old stories about family members and themselves.
Connie and Tom were heading out Monday morning for Missouri. Tuesday they will get to Omaha. Several have had allergy problems. With all this wetness and temperature changes it’s no wonder.
