CROSSETT - The Magnolia Lady Panthers (3-1, 1-0) used a solid six-run fifth inning to blow past Crossett in their 4A Region 8 Conference opener Thursday. Weather permitting, Coach Candi Bailey’s team will compete in the El Dorado Tournament today at 4:30 p.m. against Hamburg and again Saturday. Caitlyn McCormack was the winning pitcher in the circle. Magnolia collected a total of 10 hits. Brittany Yates, CB Souter, and Cara Taylor collected two hits apiece to lead Panthers.
