Area students make Spring chancellor’s, deans’ lists at U of A

Students with a 4.0 GPA qualify for the Chancellor’s list; students with averages between 4.0 and 3.75 are named to the Dean’s list; law students with averages 3.0 or higher are named to the School of Law Dean’s list.

Several local students received top academic honors at the University of Arkansas for the spring 2019 semester.

The following U of A students from Magnolia earned a 4.0 grade point average during the semester and were named to the Chancellor’s list:

College of Engineering:

-- Lindsey Albin, a senior studying art and computer science

-- Kyle Smith, a senior studying computer science

-- J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences:

-- Kandyse Flanigan, a senior studying chemistry and Spanish

-- Hannah Kaar, a sophomore studying communication

The following students from Magnolia earned a grade point average between 3.75 and 4.0 during the spring 2019 semester and were named to the Dean’s list of their respective college:

-- Abigail Pieratt, a senior studying biology in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

The following students from McNeil earned a grade point average between 3.75 and 4.0 during the spring 2019 semester and were named to the Dean’s list of their respective college:

-- Ebony Walker, a senior studying psychology in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

-- Joel Hutcheson of Magnolia, a third year law student at the University of Arkansas, earned a 3.0 grade point average or higher during the spring 2019 semester and was named to the School of Law Dean’s list.
